About Applied Osteology

Contact Information

Applied Osteology was founded in January 2006 by me (Mike Etnier).  I am based in Bellingham, WA.

I received my PhD from the University of Washington in 2002.  During my academic career I have had the opportunity to work with Paul Parmalee, Walter Klippell, Don Grayson, and Bill Bass.  Any one of them alone has probably forgotten more than I ever learned from them.  But working with them taught me just about everything I know about zooarchaeology.......

My dissertation is available on-line, as is my CV.  Additional information can be found by following the links to current projects, past projects, and publications.
